    Default finishline HVLP Sputtering, Suggertions?

    Hi All
I have a new IR 120 Gal 18CFM, 5HP compressor, And I'm running MP epoxy Primer, through a 1.5 tip, and I get the spray-no-spray thing going here.

12 psi at the cap. It's not atomizing well either. I'm using the disposable zip-lock liners, If I open the top of the liner will that help even ont the paint feeding to the nozzlle?

Should I just buy a new needle and tips, or is somthing else going on here?
    Thanks

sputtering is almost always a loose tip. take the air cap off and make sure the part under it is tight.

Which finishline do you have? This might not be the case but i have a finishline 3 and 1 time i didn't put the plastic washer in that sits behind the cap and it was sputtering badly. Found the washer and put it back in and it never sputtered again

Is there a washer between the Brass part with the "horns" and the black plastic 1.5 tip? If not there, where is the washer located?
    Thanks
