    Default Mixed piping sizes

    Hi Guys
Are there any negative affects when mixing pipe sizes for your compressor piping? The reason I ask is because I have about 15' of 1" copper in the garage (Left over from some work I did in my house a couple years ago) that I want to use with some 3/4 & 1/2".

The 1/2" is more restrictive than the larger pipe but unless you're installing a real long run you should be fine. Be sure that the all of the pipe is capable of handling the pressure, there's a lot more pressure effect on the larger pipe than on the smaller.
