the darkness in the holes looks like your on the outer most layer of the glass lay-up.If you have anymore of these ,or it happens in the future,mix up a small batch of marine epoxy,apply to the damaged areas.Fill to just below the surface,let it cure for one week.Wash off area that was epoxied with straight warm water,this will remove the amine blush that comes from the epoxy when it goes thru the cure process.Rough-up repair area with 80 grit.apply very thin layer of adtech #14 filler.Sand filler to 120.Get a ,quart of sandable gel coat , it will come with a tube of mekp hardner.Mix a batch of your gelcoat 70%gel, to 30% duratec gloss additive,activate with mekp,spray this mixture on with a simple PREVAL sprayer.Cover new sprayed gel with plastic or wax paper and tape the edges well.Gel coat tints are available if you need to match color perfectly.Sand with 180 ,320, 600,out to 800 all wet.Buff out.Adtech #14 will buffer between epoxy and polyester products. rob.
