    Default Newbie Air Pressure Question

What should the inlet air pressure be on the FLG-3 gun with a 1.8 tip spraying epoxy primer. I used my gun today and had a hard time adjusting it. I have the devilbiss gauge thats color coded and when I pulled the trigger in to adjust it would go way down or up high. What am I doing wrong?

Would a digital gauge be better for a newbie and what inlet pressure should I use?

    Hi Clint
The Finishline 3 takes 23 PSI and is set with the trigger pulled. So have around 70 or 80 pounds of air in the hose, hook it to the gun, pull the trigger all the way back and set the gauge at 23 PSI. As far as gun adjustments go we produced the video below the covers this topic. The digital gauge is easier to read but the function is the same.

Thanks Len for the help. Do you sell the digital gauge that I can purchase?

I too have that gun and was spraying some 5-star epoxy/high build primer (hybrid), mixed it 4/1/1 with the 1.8. I run 100 lbs inlet thru 1/2 hose. The gauge at first did't work until I had Fliud going thru the gun, then the gauge started working. I run the thick stuff with at least 30lbs with trigger pulled. If you have a regular home compressor you are not going to get the pull trigger pressure all the time . it will drop. Make sure you get the primer coming out wet, and reduce your fan, don't run it wide open, it's in Len's video.

Yes, the least expensive one is shown below but I have several.
