Default How do you clean your spray guns?

How about the ultimate newbie question? I love spraying paint and primer with a spray gun, but I hate cleaning the gun afterward. How long does it take to thoroughly clean a spray gun, and what process do you guys use? Can I put the tip in a jar of thinner (I've been worried that it could damage the rubber O-ring). Are there tools, or tips, that make this job easier?

Here's a link to the technique and tools that we use to clean our guns. We think we have it down to the simplest and lease time consuming method that does the best job.

Usually the adjusting knob directly behind the needle is turned until it comes off then the needle can be pulled out from the back of the gun.
