Yes, I use it as my daily driver to work. I still have yet to put some of the trim back on. I have new fender well trim and new side molding. We have a fair amount of gravel around here and I am starting to see rock chips. So, I ordered some cab length running boards and rear mud flaps for it. I like how it looks now, but don't want to ruin it right away.

Be careful with the fender well trim. If you can get something that is not held on with screws through the lip of the fender it may last longer. Those darn screws caused a lot of rust on my truck through out the years. The screws cut through the paint and the rust seems to start there.

I like the square holes like Toyota uses. The hole is made before the paint goes on, then a plastic plug installed that accepts the screw. No damage to the paint. It’s a little late now for that but if you put trim on that is held with two sided tape it may last longer. I have opted to leave that trim off. I like the bare look better anyway.

The molding I got is the newer stuff that goes on the 88-98 pickups. I did weld all the trim holes shut and like you said, I like the bare look too. I'll wait until the last stuff is on and decide if I want to put it on or not.

The one I am fixing up is a 93 and every screw hole on the wheel well trim was the start of a rust spot. They eventually grew together to destroy the fenders. The rear wheel wells are the same but the box sides are a lot more expensive then fenders so a lot of welding is going to happen back there. When I am done that trim won’t be back.

Thanks! I keep getting offers to paint for some of the guys at work. I think I'll leave that to the professionals. I really need to find a booth close by to rent for my next project. My wife shut down any possibilities of painting anything large in the garage again! LOL
