    Default which gun

i,m about to paint a model a street rod that i,m building and the last time i painted was over 20 yrs ago.so i go to my local paint place and look at modern guns for modern paint. the paint guy is trying to sell me a techna gun and i know this site seems to really like the 670 plus. the paint guy says he has only sold a few plus guns and the techna is better. so my question is which gun should i get? thanx craig

I've used both the Tekna and the Plus and I'd recommend the Plus. The Plus is a better buy for the money because it comes with three fluid tips and an inlet pressure gauge and performs at least as well as the Tekna.

Len, given the Tekna Copper Special is priced about the same as the Plus, would you recommend that over a Plus for BS/CC only applications?

The Tekna is an excellent gun but I personally would probably go with the Plus. I like it's performance and it comes with three fluid tip so that it can be used to spray a wide variety of coatings before you need to purchase additional fluid tips.
