How big of a deal is it to leave the patches of this 50 year old lacqer primer under my future primer surfacer? I plan on scuffing all with 80 grit to give teeth to the primer surfacer. NO, these old corvettes did not have gel coat. I use PPG products and Evercoat Featherfill for my primer surfacer. Have Dupont and Sikkens in town, but prefer to stick with PPG. I will be eventually topcoating with bc/cc in the engine compartment trunk and interior, and of course the exterior, all with the same paint. This is a restomod car. Thanks DG
