I found this online and thought it'd be helpful. I never knew what kind of foam to use but this makes it look easy. I'm going to make one of these for my ipod in my mustang and also make my own center console.

I'm gonna make it like my jetta console. A pad on top of a lid and under that a storage compartment. Maybe two drink holders in the front. Would be kind of different. I'm still a long ways away from that.

Yeah man, right now my dash and center console are the least of my worries. I've got a lot of body work to finish, and a whole suspension to rebuild, plus floor pans.
