    anyone tried a buffer with 2 small pads good or not so good

    If so, I can tell you that we use it on almost every paint job and we like it a lot. There are better, more expensive small buffers out there but this one has been doing a great job for us for about two years.

    That machine has a very loyal following but I'm not a member. It's basically a random orbital with two heads. Very nice idea because they timed the orbits to cancel each other out and smooth the action but the problem is IMO the action. Random orbital doesn't put as much movement between the pad and the paint as a machine with force rotation - there are other problems with the random orbital back and forth movement too but my major complaint is - they just don't get that much work done compared to the forced rotation mode on the Makita BO6040. The 6040 has two modes and one of them is random orbital the other is orbital with forced rotation. I never use that machine in the random orbital mode.
