    J B Weld

After doing a ton of tack welds around a patch, is it OK to fill the small gaps with JB or some kind of metal patch chemical. Will it be a problem with the new paint??
    Thanks Jan

Should be OK. Just sand the area again before applying more body filler.

Oil spill is worst catastrophe since Bush admin

  3. Why not just fiberglass it with something like dura glass or nar hyde fiberglass filler.

Metal to Metal filler is what I use over all welded patches. Will need reg filler on top before primer. Would not trust JB Weld under paint.

One thing you can use that can even be powdercoated is LabMetal, it goes on like a paste and sets hard enough to be ground and machined and the bonus is if you get the high temp kind it can be sanded and formed and powdercoated since is conductive. We have used it at work in thicknesses up to 3/4" for worn shafts and it holds up really good, these shafts are in roller bearings supporting 6000 lb stainless steel washer drums.
