    Default Life of stored paint?

I have a question hopefully someone can help me with. I am just a hobbyist and am getting ready to repaint a truck that I did 4 years ago due to some shodding fiberglass work. The question is, how long is paint good that has been stored. I have about a half gallon of clear that is sealed up tight and has been stored in my shop for at least 4 years. I hate to toss it due to the cost, but I don't want to screw up a paint job and have to redo it again due to trying to be cheap. Thanks for any feedback.

If your paint is a urethane it's probably still good however the hardener should probably be replaced. Once the hardener is opened it usually goes bad within a year but it can depend on how it's stored. Using a preservative like Bloxygen can greatly increase the shelf life.
