    which evaporates quicker- acetone or mek?

    I wish you would have asked earlier this evening when I was looking for something to do. I have them both and I could pick up one inch of each in a piece of ¼” poly tubing and then drop the inch of liquids on plates and watch. It’s late and I’m lazy this time of day and I’m about to go to bed. If you do the experiment yourself let me know how it went.

    Acetone evaporates quicker,MEK is often used as a substitute for acetone when a slower evaporating solvent similar to acetone is desired.Mike
