    just saying hello. i haved lurked all of 3 hours and have learned lots. lil info about myself. 26 yrs old ben in the paint and body bussiness for about 3. i went to a local vocational skool that all u had to do was sign into get an A and papers saying u were certified.lol. i work in a family owned shop and am one of 2 son in laws. we mostly do semi ok work and it really erks me.lol.

    i have come here to learn and absorb everything i can.

    so thanks everyone in advanced for any answers u give me.

    There's no such thing as a "perfect" job but if you spend enough time and money on a car you can get it real close. When you're making a living in a body shop you need to make decisions on quality versus cost so don't be too judgmental about quality until you spend several years leaning the business. There's a lot of variables to learn at all levels of the auto body repair business, it's not just about the work.

    yea actually i am learning quite fast how the bussiness runs. lots of variables to look at at all times. i dont mind doin a nice paint job for 1500. as long as there isnt alot of body then. then u cant expect it to be to nice. i gotta relearn how to talk to customers. my family owned a tattoo shop for 7 years where i was a sales man/piercer.lol i could give prices for tattoos no problem just gotta transfer that to vehicles.
