lovely color! get out the buffers and wax its fiberglass they almost always look dull.

por 15 is porous its always best to sand it and put enamel overtop. For more info read side of can.

very nice garage car the side headers are not street legal in most areas. I can tell you put alot of effort into it.

Why do you think fiberglass is almost always dull. We've painted a hundred Vettes and find that the finish is exactly the same as it is on a metal surface. Of course we aren't putting the paint directly onto the glass, it gets primer just like metal would.

you can put the 2 part sealer on fiberglass and the shine still wont hold. waxing it helps.

Do you think that the fiberglass absorbs the paint or what? We do a lot of Vettes and they NEVER go dull, maybe it's the paint you're using. If you're using lacquer and applying it all in one spraying session then it will dull over time as the trapped solvent escapes but with a good urethane you won't have that problem.

actually done alot of those stupid replacement fenders people put on they warp but aside from that tried every darn thing and after a few months you can see the shine is duller than the rest of car.

    waxing it helps.

Primal, not sure I understand your comments about the car being dull and needs buffing, waxing, whatever. Pevious member said car was too bright!!! Are you talking of corvettes in general or do I need to spend another twenty hours making this fiberglass look better? If so, I want some of what you been smoking up in Manitoba. Backing up what Len has made note of, I too have painted many vets and never had a dulling problem down the road. Maybe the colder winters up north have this effect on fiberglass. Sorry if I did not understand you correctly but felt it was time for the body and paint person on this car to speak up.
