modifying hammer tips
A while ago I bought this set...

I use the curved peen the most and next the finishing pic. I realize the finishing pick hammer wasn't all that great. A round pic would lower surrounding areas and be bothersome on open panels. I use a hammer w/ or w/ out dolly, spoons, shotbags, plastic mallets, and whatever else to get it straight but I'd always notice I'd reach for the curved peen and was never sold on the round pic. I think maybe cause it's kind of LOOKS sharp you'd think it'd handle some of the tasks of which a sharp pick tool can handle, but
unfortunately it wasn't sharp enough. So I sharpened it. I think it's gonna be helpful, and although I don't like to hit metal with something that sharp it does have more of a place in day to day action than the dull rounded tip in my opinion. I can metal work fine, room to learn more, but the round pick isn't needed in my opinion. I think I'm gonna like this sharper one when the occasion calls, but can't get carried away with it. It'll still be my second fav hammer just better now.
