Default has anyone done a test on filler's adhesion to different types of paint vs metal?

I think that would be a good test. I think I'm gonna cut out some squares with a few different types of paints and bare metal. Just wondering if anyone has done this?

I can save you a lot of time and material .

It will stick to any paint you decide to use .But it will come off when you hit it with a hammer.

It will also depend on the type and quality of the filler, the surface prep and the manor it's applied.

    rage/ z grip/ poly glaze(evercoat)

Moochy, hush up. You're probably right but I'd like to know anyways. I judge it by how it feathers(so far) and on your cheap acrylic 1 stage jobs it doesn't feather as well but for everything else seems find. Just would like to know first hand

Good filler will bond to any surface with enough tooth to it. We usually use an 80 grit scratch on top of painted surfaces. The only time you may have a problem bonding filler to paint is if the paint is a repainted lacquer paint job.

exactly my thoughts. Being no test has been made we can only go by the edge and how it's feathering. I think it would be a great test but not sure if I'm worthy of the test. Better if Martin did it. It'd seem more official.
