90 F150 Cummins

Starting to look like a truck again. Cab's painted, came out better than I expected. A little peel on the roof, may not worry about it since you can't see it. Working on the turbo setup right now.

Coming along really nice 52 . Engine looks cool sitting in that Ford .

Can you post a picture of the front suspension ?

Thanks Mooch. I found out how hard it is to put a patch right in the middle of one of the sides and get it perfect. I thought I had it blocked right and guide coated it but I can see it slightly when I sight down the side. Oh well, its fine for this project and it's hard to see unless you're looking for it. Couldn't imagine doing one of those old land yachts from the 50's and getting it perfect.

Perfection never happens no matter what anyone says . It will be cool when done . Keep the pictures coming as it is one of the more interesting projects here .

I'm still here, the truck took a back seat to another problem for a while but I'm back at it now. I've come to the conclusion that I'm a pretty good painter but my bodywork skills need more work, just can't seem to get a bondo patch to not show after the clear is on. It's ok for this project though. I'm almost done, left the hood, cowl and valence panel for last and got them done yesterday. Am waiting for some hood insulation today to help quiet the Cummins down some before I install it. The cab is sound insulated and I'm going to install more on the firewall in the engine compartment. So right now I have to install hood, cowl, grill, etc. Next will be fabbing front and rear bumpers and nerf bars and some small stuff like rear axle angle shims to pivot up pinion a few degrees, rear shocks, install flatbed deck (3/4 plywood with Linex), a couple minor wiring issues. The little 3.9 starts instantaneously and sounds good. Will have to play with the pump adjustments to get the power I'm looking for (175 or so). The project took twice as long and cost twice as much as I was planning on. Will post some pics .

I love that project .It is really turning out nice . It would be nice if you could post a video with sound when it is done . I would love to hear the diesel .

Thank you. I got my hood insulation and will be installing it today along with cowl and valence. Then its back to fabrication which I enjoy more than the bodywork and paint. I'm using the center section of the original rear bumper that I'll weld a receiver hitch to then l have some 4" 6061 tube for the rest of it. Front bumper will be fabbed in 6061 also with some integrated driving lights. I have a question for you guys. On the right qtr panel at the corner that is at the A pillar I have a dent that I made when I had to bend the corner out some because it was hitting the A pillar because I didn't trial fit it before I did the paint (I know, stupid). Can I sand that small section (about 2 sq. inches) down to the epoxy, build up with bondo, 2K it, then try to blend the BC,CC into the rest of the panel and ever hope it's not noticeable? The paint is metallic which I know makes that more difficult. If the answer is no I'll just leave it as is. Can't wait to get this thing done!!
