    Default Filling/ Removing Trim Question

I'm generally in over my head with this project. Advice appreciated! (00 Accord sedan) I'd like to get rid of the door trim/ fill it? But I'm concerned about the flexing of the car when jacking it up to change the oil as it could crack? The bond to the trim is flexible with firm pressure applied. The options I have considered so far are- fill the trim (cut out rubber first). Remove the trim and re-adhere it with a firmer adhesive. Remove trim and re-build the shape (would rather not). I was thinking about using fibral repair paste w/ matte strands. Pops said- "be cautious", I said- "there's no such thing as being cautious with this stuff, just getting it right the first time". Thanks guys, -Rob

Why do you want to remove the door trim? It maybe harder than wat you think. I am not sure on that model but most trim is there to keep water out of ares. You will have to keep that in mind when doing what you want

I was just wanting to do something different (to much time on my hands). I'd really like to fill it, but am just not sure about it cracking. I'm trying to turn it into a show car but it's far from it. I wouldn't worry about it if it wasn't my daily driver, but it's something I have to consider.

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but if you're attempting to fill the door trim, I would stop now. It’s likely important that you remove the trim if you ever want to replace any glass. If you want to clean it up, you can color match it, but I would avoid shaving it.

I could fill the upper trim. Lower trim, yes you are right on that one. It's really not going to turn into the show car I see. Some day I may finish what I see, but I'm gunna leave it alone for now. thanks
