    Default First Project

Hey guys. This is my '90 Nissan Primera P10.

I'm currently putting a TE kit onto it. It's been kinda hard trying to find TE bumpers for the P10's now. And I've only started recently so not much work has been done. But heres what I've done so far:

The left side of the rear bumper. I've bogged it, sanded it. But I can't paint yet as I have to finished sanding this side:

Just have to finish sanding this side during the week - should be ready for paint this weekend. I'm also missing a cap that goes over the hole by the corner - it's for a ring thats used for towing.

These are the skirts. I've bogged them and I'm sanding them later in the week after I've finished the rear bumper.

All I'm missing now is a front!! I'm going to convert it with a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R turbo engine and change it to a manual!!

Tell me how I'm doing - Constructive criticism welcome!

Also if anyone could tell me how to get the side skirts on without the clips? That'll be really helpful!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Heya guys.

Just here for a quick update...

I've just finished sanding the bog on the bumper. I'm going to sand the black strip off tonight and hopefully have the grey primer on tomorrow. Thanks for the tips - much appreciated.

Will post more updates as they come!!

    Back again!!

Just finished the grey primer on the bumper ^^

This weekend I'm painting the back bumper the pearl blue!! To pass the time of this week I am going to finish the side skirts.

    Thanks for the tips (:

After you do repairs to the parts you should mount them then remove and paint them then mount them permanently. Since I've never done this job I can't tell you how to mount the skirts without clips but if you show some detail of the skirt and where it mounts I (or someone) may be able to come up with ideas.

If you have enough flat surface area to bond them, use windshield urethane to hold them tight. Backyard body man trick.

I did that to this car:

Thanks. I'll have a go at it. I was looking up on how to fit the skirts with clips and it suggested that I use double-sided tape. Would this give a nice tight fit?

It should give a tight fit, but I wouldn't use double sided tape all by itself. If you decide to go that route make sure you have some type of fastners as well. Preperation is the key to a great job. Make sure everything is clean and smooth before installing anything. And use adhesion promoters when possible if using tape alone.

I've surrendered to using 3M's gray double sided "attachment" tape, it's the only one I found that really holds on well for a long time.

These are the holes where the clips are supposed to go.

    ok,where are some pics,

and why a pulsar turbo? why not just do a swap from another g20 5 speed with a good cluch and rebuild the tranny first put like 410s for first gear then 373s etc and a sentra spec v torqe converter also swap your differential gears out,so what if its front wheel drive,at least this way it will be better then a crappy pulsar(i always hated those cars, just like fierros)...

    1. nop fotos yet...
    2. the pulsar was a brief idea. I knew i wasnt really going to use one after I relisd that over ehre in NZ its very rare to find a pulsar owner that was willing to let me ripp it apart so im going to chuck an aftermarket turb into it and a hp tranny specially specd 4 nice accle and quick take-off. just 4 the dragz...

and we dont have sentras over here
