    Default Buffing clear coat

How long do I let clear coat cure before buffing/polishing?

    What compounds are recommended?

Is the airvantage a suitable tool or is the makita ( I am just a hobbyist)?

It's my understanding that the next day is best, but in the first week is pretty easy.

I'm buffing a job done 8-months ago and having to buy special 'fine' sandpapers (3000 or 4000 grit !) to git-R-done.

There's lots of info on buffing available. Tape any edges, the clear is thin there. Use quality sandpaper. 1500, 2000 and a good wook polishing bonnet...

Let us know how you do.

The AirVantage and the Makita are used to do different steps in the polishing process. The AirVantage levels the orange peel and the Makita Polishes to a smooth glass-like finish after the sanding is finished.
