i have a gt 500 and unfortunately a truck backed into the nose. the damage wasnt that bad, fender and hood so now its time to paint. the car is black and i am using ppg. i took the damaged fender and painted half with epoxy primer, then the base coat and the clear. this was my trial run to make sure the colors matched. the color was perfect, even in the sunlight, but the problem i am having is the clear seams too thick and shiny. it doesnt match the rest of the car. i didnt rub it out yet so maybe im jumping the gun. the ppg clear i am using is the dc3000 with dch3070 hardner. i also got a few bubbles and alot of orange peal in the clear as i sprayed it! i think its gotta be the clear because the epoxy laid flat and the paint looked flat when it went on. before i creat alot of work sanding hopefully some can tell me what im doing wrong unless i should use a different clear or what to use when im rubbing the clear out.
