    Default Ranger air bag code

My 2003 Ranger flashes a 28 air bag code. Don't want to take it to a dealer if it is something simpel like a bad connection. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.

Are you counting the air bag indicator flash counts? Because there is no 28 for a fault code in ALLDATA.

Yes, first it flashes twice then eight and then stays on.

I took my truck to the Ford dealer. Was called later with the results. Although a tree fell across the hood, the bags never deployed but the crash sensor detected a incedent. They say I must first replace the seat belts. Then they don"t think this will fix it so I will probalby be replacing both air bags and crash sensor. I will keep you informed.

My pickup is done. The air bags had been deployed. Someone had perfectily glued them back in place. Now I have been doing body work for 37 years and this sure took me by shock, not to mention my pocket book! Kike my dad in law always says, the second liar does not have a chance.

    Default Bummer!

Is there anyway that you can go back to the shop that did the original repair? They may have gotten paid for the bags and didn't put them in. If that's the case then they owe you some money.
