    Cool pictures! There was something wrong with the 400 they don't run hot. Now the nailhead in the 65-66, that is a hot running motor.

    Did you have a fan shroud on the 67?

    Funny you asked that, I was just looking at the pic of the engine and that has a full shroud where mine just had a small metal top piece only (more of a safety gaurd then anything else.
    My problem was the engine was bored .020 over when I sent it out to the machine shop because of taper in the cylenders - that brought the cylender walls much closer to the water jackets - orrrrr... I screwed up putting it together and did not get all the debrie blown out of the water jackets after it was tanked.

    I really miss the Big Block, had a great sound cruising and getting on it

    Man, the last 15 years must of been rough on me - my hair is all salt & peppered out now and I am sure the waist on those pants Im wearing is 30" - She was a cutie, the only woman who truely broke my heart.... FN Slut! LOL
