    Default Primer Gun Special

Dura-Block called me and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. They sent me a primer gun to test then run a special for those folks needing a primer gun. I received the gun a couple days ago and gave it a test run today and found it to be (like other Dura-Block guns) an excellent gun for the money. This gun comes with a 1.5 fluid tip that is good for most etch, epoxy and 2K primers and it also comes with a 2.0 tip kit that is good for heavier materials like polyester spray filler.

If you need a primer gun this one works really well and it's plastic cup, chrome handle, brass and stainless parts are easy to clean.

In the Specials area of the store for $49.50 until they run out.

    Default Type 2 Adapter

Most of the Dura-Block Guns including the 007 and this AF711 take the Type 2 PPS adapter used on some Sata and some Iwata guns.

I've been using it for the last three days and I can tell you it works "great" for the price. You'll love it.

Thanks for looking that up for me Len, now I gotta see if I can scrounge up the bucks, just had to go out for another fan from Lowes today for this weekend's shooting.

I'll probaly combine a order with the regular PPS system this time.

Just wondering...what are the CFM/PSI specs on this gun, and is it conventional or HVLP...also, are the basic replaceable parts available (fluid needle packing, and nozzle seat...if that's what it takes).

The price is right...and you figure it's nice to see a modern technology low priced gun...figure it's gotta be better than what was available a decade ago...but are the parts available to keep it going (nothing like having a gun that only sprayed great once).

    Default Parts

I know tip kits and cups are available and it comes with a tool to remove the needle packing so I'd imagine that it must also be available. Each gun comes with a complete parts list with a blow up and part numbers but I don't know about availability of everything. To tell you the truth in 40 years I can't remember ever replacing a needle packing in ANY gun I've ever owned however I don't soak my guns in thinner and I lubricate the needle when I reassemble the gun after cleaning. For fifty bucks you're lucky to get a gun that is built fairly well and sprays decently and believe me this one is a bargain. This is a conventional spray guns so it doesn't use a lot of air. I ran at about 35 PSI but found that I got better results spraying primer at about 25 PSI and I used less material. I'll check small parts availability on Tuesday.

    Default Parts

I contacted Dura-Block and was told that all parts are available and rebuilding kits are also available for the AF711.

I've used this gun a couple more times to shoot 2K primer and it does a great job. I'm excited about the ability to sell this gun for this price so if you need a primer gun you can't go wrong with this one.
