I was talking to a guy yesterday who seemed to know his stuff about paint, until he said this..... "After painting your jambs, wait a couple of days before painting the outside of the truck. Then coat the paint in the jambs with buffing compound to keep the paint safe from overspray, no need to mask the jambs." Is he a idiot or am I going crazy?

It makes no sense to spend MORE time doing something that may not even do the job than just doing it right and masking it!
