Default Questions for Paintshop owners and painters

I was talking to a buddy today about having his truck painted. For a full time paint and body shop, how long does it take to do a typical paint job. No color change, no to very minor body work and full size truck. Never had a shop do my work and I had no idea?? Standard base clear.

Default Time to paint can vary.

If the shop is busy it can take longer or if the shop has an exceptional reputation they may take more time. However it shouldn't take longer than two weeks for a top notch job and one week is more like it for your standard overall paint job.

I agree with Len on a couple of weeks but then that all depends on what the condition of the paint and body is. We try to give our customers that show car quality even when there the everyday rider so it sometimes takes a little longer
