How do you get dust specs out of clear.
I dont have enough room in my garage ,so i need to spray my car in peices. I shot the rear hatch, and quarters today ,with PPG DBC 9700 Basecoat, and 2021 Clear. I figured out how to get the clear to lay flat, but i was sanding evecoat earlier in the day, and i have some dust specs in the clear. What grit paper, and what compound do you guys use? I am going to wet down the garage from this point on, but today it was raining and humid, i didnt want any humidity in the clear.

That's a common enough probelm. Most Clears reccommend starting with 1500, I'd start there. If you have to try 1200 then maybe 1000.
If it's just "dust" (that is soft) you should have no probelm getting it out (IMHO) cause the only thing that is making it hard is the Clear.
If it's dirt on the other hand, I might try a plastic razor blade (flush with the surface) then sand.

I usually take the nibs off before I start using fine sandpaper. I'll usually use a fine Nib File to level the nib then use fine sandpaper to finish the job. If you start with sandpaper you can damage the paint if the nib comes out and starts rolling under the paper.
