    I didn't notice that problem. I've been using this gauge several times a week for about a year and it still works fine but I know it's going to go some day.

    I've now been using it for four years and it still works like new.

    i assume it doesnt stay on all the time only when it has pressure to it? or it has a switch?

    You press a button to activate it then it goes off after a few seconds.
