Default Epoxy - scuff and coat with Zero Rust?

    Hello:
I have new replacement fenders in the factory epoxy (rubbed it hard with lacquer thinner, seems stuck really well). For the underside of the fenders can I scuff the epoxy and spray it with Zero Rust (rest the chassis is in Zero Rust) or do I need to take it down to bare metal?

    Thanks
    Michael

Whatever you want to do to the underside, you should scuff the epoxy. I wouldn't cover in ZR, but thats another story.

No need to take it to the metal just sand it with some 320 or 400 then spray with a couple coats of Zero Rust.
