That is Nason on the 70 Chevelle.

I used it on a 1970 Chevelle and loved it, covered well and was a all in one base. I used a grey primer under it. I can say that it covers better than the DuPont in my area.

Yes you must activate it........I use Nason on complete repaints and its good paint for the price but stick to the tech

I use their 2K primer for everything and it works great. I believe their bases are Kirker. I have used their single stage urethane for semi-gloss trim and it was great!

I use DuPont in my garage. I have used Nason base activator in my Chromabase. I have also used Nason clear activator in my Chromabase with no problems. I feel like it keep certain problems down and...

I have used the 99k black several times and always keep a quart around. I use 3 coats and it does great.

I second that......I use mostly Chromabase and it does not call for a activator. I do use a dab of Nason clear activator in ever base. Makes quick sand and nib repairs much much easier.

I love my 3rd gen and have built a few. Look for a leak around the front glass, or Cowl vent. If the water comes from the T-Tops it always tends to fall in the back seat or in the T of the top.

When I have a repair like that I think it is just easier in the long run to do the entire panel, unless its a quarter that has no seam lines up to the roof.

When you paint with Nason what is your mix ratio? Maybe the Dupont directions are causing it to be too thin. I am not against changing my ratio to try it again. Chroma is expensive for a Hobby guy.

My experiance with Nason is that it just does not cover well at 4 to 1 vs. chromabase 1 to 1 at times it can be cost effective and at times not. The metallic does not lay nearly as well as chroma.

Hey all I have a 70 Monte Carlo in the shop the owner has already removed the old top and I have now removed all of the rust and glue. What is the going cost would you guess for a new top at a shop?...

What can a person expect from Kirker paint. I have never used them, the Nason single stage seem to cover well in Black but Nason base seem thin. I tend to have tiger striping with Nason.

What kind of quality is KIRKER paint. I usually use Nason when I need to do a budget job but the last time I used Nason green on my own car it took a gallon to cover a 95 Jaguar. Man was it thin.

This is the part that I found fluttering..........is this the same as a pressure relief valve you would use to let the pressure off the tank on smaller compressors?

True.......I always pick Chromabase over the nas. unless there is no other way. When you look at how they mix chroma 1:1 vs. Nason 2:1 ( I think) and buy the activator you really don't save as much...
