Don't get to use the purple cap much, but when needed this thing produces a 12inch fan from 4inches of the panel, great for hard pearls and metallics if you ever get the opportunity try one.

I find that this problem is usually caused by a fluid nozzle that needs to be tightened up a bit.

I have to agree 100% with that Dennis, the best aircap for clearcoat with the lph400 is the silver one lv4.

The lvb aircap is designed more for difficult to lay pearls and metallics, if you already have the lvx cap give that a go as it can be used for both base and clear. Or you could always get the silver...
