If I was going to buy another gun it would be the Plus ! I think it is the best bang for the buck. Parts if needed can be gotten something you can't say for a lot of guns on the market.

What air pressure you running ? size of hose ? connectors ? to me something just don't sound right.

You can never get a compressor to big . IMO

You need to paint the seems before you apply the sealer Don't put it on bare metal. I used Zero Rust to coat the seams first then applied the sealer and painted over it .

What gauge is the drop cord and how long ?
If I was gonna use a drop cord with my stud gun it would be at least a 14 gauge cord no more than 15 ft . I have a 12 gauge cord 12 ft long that I use...

Just another suggestion let the seal set in the sun a while it will help soften them up some .

If you thin it it may work . I used a 1.6 and it did ok but I thinned the zero rust with lacquers thinner .

I would use the 1.2 tip for the clear .

For the color your shooting I would go to 600 . Silver metallic can be a bitch...

I use a old siphon touch up gun I think it has a 1.6 tip . A lot is going to depend on how much you thin it . The bigger tip the less it needs thinned and the better coverage IMO .

I like spraying it I feel the spray can get into places you can't with a brush .

I have good results using this wire it helped with my burn through also . I use a Century 110 welder with gas.

I too have a Century welder for about 10 years now . Lincoln bought Century out and still has parts if needed.

From what I see once you blast it you will only have bigger holes. Best way to fix it is to cut it out and re skin it . Do it right and not half assed it will come back to bite ya later on .

I have used both but Zero Rust is what I'll use from now on . If ya look at my web sight every thing painted black is Zero Rust. Another advantage is I can buy it local .

My 65 Ranchero has a lot of places brazed on it I think it was factory done back then but like what Phil said if it ain't broke don't fix it .
