Well finally got the engine bay sured up and took some pics.

I did not remove the steering column and wish I did as it is a pain in the ass to work around. The steering linkage and the sway bar...

I would only cut out the portion that is bad and trim the replacement part to fit the spot.

Make sure while it is opened up that you rustproof all that area and coat it well.

Once my metalwork is complete, I want to put my 67 Mustang into primer. I plan on spraying the entire car 1 area at a time. I have a 1 car garage and not real good ventilation so I cant just spray...

The way the transition pan comes down and meets the floor is that it is spotwelded and is under the floorpan. Is that going to be an issue with it by just butt welding it together like that? Looks...

Ok the cowl for my car is still solid and doesnt leak. So I did not have to disassemble all of this, and I am relieved as it is a large project.

I am only sanding down and then rustproofing and...

OK so here are a few before and after shots of the inside radiator support. Yes the top lip is bent in a couple spots. I will bend the lip nice and straight before final preps.

Yep he was in the car sanding down the dash last weekend....didnt get much done but he continues to talk about how much he helped...... I gave him a scraper too.....and had him scrape the inside...

Wow great job. I never thought of cutting that piece in half to install it.

While I was spraying, I decided to spray the firewall also as it has been sanded and coated with Ospho also. Here are before and after of the firewall area....

There were a large amount of spots that I needed to repair. I have not finished yet but am well on the way.

The largest problem was 4 spots where the Engine Bay Fender...

.023 huh....... Maybe that is my issue. I was using .035 and burning right through the sheetmetal. I got a few good tacks down but couldnt hold a bead......

I may have to pick up a roll of that...

I did a couple band aids at first and they are really bad now.......after only 5 years. Now it needs completely redone.

I started back in July when it got here and it took a little bit to get everything stripped down. Then I started back up in January at developing how I wanted to go about the resto....AKA What to do...

I would sand that area down so that you can see the entire rusty area. I would be willing to bet that the rust infected area is much larger than the bubbling. As long as the infected area doesnt go...

dewalt grinder

After hitting it again for 30 seconds with the Pressure blaster using Aluminum oxide....that stuff kicks ass......
