hi guys i need some advice.i bought a gallon of kirker epoxy primer about a year ago . i used about half of it then .today i opened the can and about an inch of paint in the bottom is very thick . can this be used ? can the top portion be poured off and used ? thanks in advance .

Almost all paints will settle out like that over time. The higher build primers of course have more to settle out. Get your stir stick and start stirring until you have it all in suspension again and you're fine to use it. (Assuming when you used it last time you had it mixed thoroughly and didn't use just the liquid off the top. That would leave you with a disproportionate solids mix, in which case you may have to thin it some.) If you're hardner is a year old you may want to replace it.

what steve said... make sure you stir it really well, getting all the gook off the sides, etc. In my infinite wisdom i didn't stir a gallon of highbuild nason primer enough before i used it once, and now you basically need a garden hose to spray the stuff w/o some added reducer...
