Anybody using DP29 sealer? I used to use velvaseal by dupont, and really liked it, because it was very smooth and flat. But trying to stay with the same brand products, I switched to DP29, by RM. The problem for me is, when I do a spot repair, and blend, I cover the primer with the sealer and leave the rest untouched. The sealer is wet on wet type, and it lays down pretty smooth, except for the edges, where the sealer stops. It is always rough.
Does anyone have the same problem? What kind of sealer are you using?
I read through some p-sheets, and Ultrasealer by RM also seems to fit my need, but I have never tried it.
Any suggestion on my technique or product are welkome:)
Thanks
Vadim

You could try a little blending solvent on the dry edge of your sealer,it will smooth out the rough edge.It has been a long time since I used RM but I use to do this and I never had a problem.HTH:)

I never use a sealer on a blend. After my primer I apply color, blend it out then clear it.

I guess I am just lazy some times, trying to cover any imperfections on the primer with the sealer. Thanks guys.

I didn't think sealer had any fill properties. I use the BC100 to help prevent sand scratch swelling and soak in. It also helps your blends. Reduce it 2:1 with your UR40/50/60.

Yes sealer can help fill sand scratches but since it's usually "non-sanding" it won't fill to much more than slight surface scratches.
