Tig welders

I'm going to buy a tig welder. I've been looking at a Miller Econotig but also ran across a Hobart Tigmate which looks exactly like the Miller Econotig and has the same specs. Are they made by the same company? Any opinions on the Hobart Tigmate or Hobart in general?

Miller bought out Hobart. Now Hobart is their economy line.. They're both good. You couldn't go wrong with either one....Let your wallet be your guide..The Miller may have a few more bells and whistles...I like all 3 companys. I have used them all at one time or another.....JMHO....Glenn
