I'm using the metal ready for some rust as I cant get picklex20 here downunder!!
Once I apply the metal ready and wash it off do I clean the area with wax and grease remover prior the priming or will this effect the metal ready in some way?
Can I use etch primer over the metal ready area?
Thanks

POR Metal Ready contains phosphoric acid and zinc phosphate. Many (most?, all?) etch primers will not work well on surfaces that have already been treated with phosphoric acid. I recommend that you instead use an epoxy primer if you've prepared the surface with an acid product.

I used the Por-15 products on my camaro's floor. Basically, you need / should degrease prior to even using the metal ready. let that work its majic and then wash it away, let the surface completly dry and apply the por-15 product or any other good rust treatment.

If you used metal ready over unclean metal surfaces, then your going to simply have to do it again until its really cleaned, which it will become but after you wasted some time and money using more metal ready than necessary.
