On just about every big job we do we either need to hang some parts from the ceiling or we lay them on something to hold them while they get sprayed.
When you need to hang parts it's good to have some hooks made of reasonably strong steel rod or wire to hold the parts. We've chopped up a few clothes hangers when needed. You can even use a couple hooks on each end if you need to lower the job without adjusting the ropes.

When you need to lay parts on a surface to spray them it's a good practice to cover the surface with a layer of masking paper so that dust isn't blown from the support into your wet paint.
