I was looking into a way to get some work done on the undercarriage of my rolling project when I came accross The FrameOff BodyLift (http://www.frameoff.com/index.html). Looks pretty interesting. Seems like they are affilated with Marquis Auto Restorations. Anyone heard of them?

Seems it can be used to not only lift the body off the frame but as a rotisserie as well.

It's hard to assess the value of the FrameOff equipment but is sure looks like I would rather use a rotisserie.

there is a bit in that for $2500 I don't think thats unreasonable at all.

Sure looks easy to copy and make your own for a whole lot less than two and half grand. Its not even hydraulic, uses two come-alongs. I would bet you could make something similar for less than a thousand dollars. I see some advantages and some disadvantages to that unit.

For another $499.00 you can add on the Rotisserie Expansion Kit (http://www.frameoff.com/products2.html#RotisserieExpansionKit) which makes the unit (IMHO) a one step operation from getting the body off, working the body, and into the booth.

You can also take this thing down and store it out of the way when not in use.
I'm not selling anyone on it, just thought that the concept was very orginal and of some value. Esp if you don't own a shop with all the room needed to do both the lifting and rotisserie thing.
