Hey everybody, I haven't visited this forum in a while but it's good to be back!!!

We have a '99 Plymouth Voyager van here, and the power locks operating the rear hatch have quit. They make a "whirring" noise, and all the other power locks work, everything but the rear. And of course there is no manual unlock feature. Even with the key from the outside, it's "power assisted".

Any help on getting it open from the inside??

There is a large plastic panel I could remove, although I can't get to all the screws without opening the door!! And there seems to be a little access plug but nothing is really behind it.

Thanks a lot, when the Corvair is painted I'll finally post pics for all of you!

Try looking thru the access plug w a light,I am pretty sure you can get to the latch or the linkage/cables with a screwdriver or a bent coathanger, maybe a slotted keyway, like in an older car's trunk lock?
Can't see one in my head, but one of the guys at the mechanic shop next to the bodyshop I'm at asked me to look at his dad's Caravan, same problem, same vintage.
By the time I got there,he had it open, said he pulled the little round plug, and did something I don't remember!
