I have used a very cheap Star conventional gravity gun to paint numerous cars, it has been good to me, but is finally reaching it's useful life.

I have looked at a lot of different HVLP guns and most that I see are beyond my 5 hp 25 gallon compressors 9.1 CFM @40 psi capabilty. Is there a decent HVLP gun that I could use with my compressor? One that would not break me, I do this as a hobby and would rather not spend a fotune on a gun. I know, I want it all!!:D

If you have a 60 gallon tank or larger you could probably get away with a Dura-Block 10.5 CFM gun or similar. With a small tank I would recommend that you go with a "compliant" gun like the DeVilbiss GFG-670G. If you try to use a gun that uses more air than the compressor puts out AND you have a small tank (20 or 30 gallon) your pressure will drop too quickly for you to make it all the way around a vehicle and/or the compressor will overheat causing moisture problems.
