Purchasing or Leasing cylinders for welding?

I'm ready to set-up my new tig welder. The question I have is do I want to purchase the cylinders or lease them? I purchased the argon/Co2 for my mig welder.

Depends on how much welding you're going to do. Commercially you'd probably lease. For the home user (like me) you'd buy it (used) from a gas dealer (filled) and basically trade it for another when you run out. Then all you pay for is the gas.

In the long run you will be better off owning your own bottle. Our local tracter supply beats the local welding supply for switching out re-filled bottles.
