I have an old RX7 that is red and I want to repair some bad spots but I am no where near ready to paint it, can I get a epoxy primer that is close to the red color and spray it over my work just so it looks a little better while I drive it?

I know it can be done.... using a white sealer, and tinting it with your base color. be careful not to add too much base to your sealer...
my buddy tinted his sealer when he shaved the tailgate off his truck. It matched extremely well!

For this application I would think that you could also get by using red Zero Rust. It comes in aerosol cans.
