Does anyone know if Dupont Centari can be color sanded? I have a slight orange peel and was wondering if it could be sanded out.Thank You.
You can sand Centari if you added hardener to the paint and you wait long enough for it to harden. You need to be extra careful when sanding and polishing any acrylic enamel because it's very soft and you can go through or damage it much more easily than urethane. Be sure that you give it at least a week of warmth or much longer if it's cold before you start sanding or polishing.

I agree with Len. Also Jeff, you didn't mention if the Centari was a metallic paint or a non metallic paint. One more thing, back in the "old days" Dupont Centari was always an acrylic enamel but for the last couple (?) years Dupont has made available a hardener additive for the Centari that is supposed to make the paint an acrylic urethane and not an acrylic enamel.
Which hardener did you use in the Centari ? And if its a metallic based paint regardless of what hardener you used you have to be VERY careful not to cut through that thin upper layer of clear into the the metallics in the paint.
(single stage metallic paints have a built in thin layer of clear).
