I am a novice, why is the paint mottled? Omni 175 Epoxy mixed 2:1 Teo epoxy and one cataylist. Hope you can get an idea from the photos.
Thanks
Jim

well from ur pics u seen to have what looks like what they call orange peal. Just get some some 400 but sand it LIGHT just enough to to take the orange peal away. Then re-shoot the primer, and sand should be fine

Been there done that.

Looks like it is too dry when sprayed.

Many causes. Gun not set right, too small a fluid tip, not enough reducer, moving too fast across just to name a few.

Sand it out and if you need more spray some more.

I needed to put the larger fluid tip on as it turned out. Wow what a change that was.

I am using a Finishline Gravity and 1.8 tip with 30psi at the gun.

I think your tip is kind of big. I use a 1.4 tip in a LVLP gun to shoot all my epoxy. I have used a 1.8 tip for poly primer but never for epoxy. Mooch
