Can't be right

I had a quote of 2k to replace the side of my truck bed, 900 for parts and 14 hours of labor. Does this sound right? It was phone quote and I forgot to ask if painting was involved.

It sounds like it could be a little high but it could be that rates are high in your area. Call or visit other shops in your area to get other estimates. You could also call around to see if any junk yards have a bed that could be painted to match and see if that manor of repair is any less expensive.
