3000 trizact pads life

I just recently started using 3000 trizact.How long can you use a pad before they're worn out?Its hard to tell since the grit is so fine.

i was at the akzo nobel training center and the instructor said you could do a whole car with 2 or 3 pads. I'm a bit skeptical about it b/c the paper just got loaded up so fast... then made pigtails from the built up dust. Not worth it to me, i'd rather use however many it takes to avoid the pigtails. I use the airvantage 3/32 throw too

You must be talking about the 1500 grit paper because 3000 will not do that,and you use it wet.

I'm not real sure, but I have done 2 whole cars with one piece. It really works great, cuts buffing time alot.

I can't get a nib flat with any thing lesser then 2000.
What an I doing wrong?
