I finished a driveway paintjob last week, and had some issues with the top coat fogging because of dew that formed on the paint before it was totally hardened. I've started color sanding and buffing to bring back the shine, but I'm noticing that I may have some thin areas of paint that aren't taking the sanding very well (starting to see primer). Mostly on the edges on the hood where there would have been less paint laid down.
I'm at the point right now that I think that re-shooting the truck would be the best solution. I have plenty of paint left. My question is, what do I have to do to prepare the existing new paint for another coat? It is Nason fulthane 2k urethane paint and was shot a week ago today.
Do I have to sand it at all, or can I just wipe it down with wax/grease remover and respray?
thanks for the assistance.
