I need to sandblast a couple small areas on our Mustang. I have one of those small speedy guns. What is the best type of all around media to use and what type of store carries it?

I just use regular sandblasting sand that I get at Home Depot. I always strain it before using.

silica sand is what's used for sandblasting. I get it at the lumber yard or the local ready-mix pkant. About $4 for an 80 lb bag. Be sure to wear a respirator while blasting. The dust in your lungs can cause silicosis. To most DIY's I recomend having a pro do it because if done improperly it can cause other problems. Also, if you any significant amount to do, you will be there all day with a spot-blaster. Larry.
